The Position

The Manager, Site Logistics & Support is responsible for overall site logistics strategy, material flow governance, inventory control, and vendor coordination for the High-Performance Compute Center (HPCC).

This role leads onsite logistics personnel and serves as the primary authority for receiving, staging, storage, inventory accuracy, controlled material movement, and logistics risk mitigation. The Manager, Site Logistics & Support ensures seamless coordination between Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Procurement, Corporate Logistics, and third-party vendors to protect uptime and maintain disciplined execution in a mission-critical environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all inbound and outbound shipments, dock operations, inspection protocols, and controlled material movement within critical environments.
  • Establish and maintain logistics governance standards, material handling procedures, and inventory control frameworks.
  • Ensure accurate inventory tracking, reconciliation, and system integrity across all internal platforms.
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to prioritize material staging and support scheduled and emergent work activities.
  • Coordinate logistics planning for major maintenance events, retrofits, commissioning activities, and capital projects.
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks that could impact operational continuity.
  • Oversee vendor performance related to freight, delivery services, storage providers, and logistics contractors; enforce SLA compliance.
  • Ensure proper documentation of Bills of Lading, packing slips, purchase orders, and chain-of-custody records.
  • Implement and maintain controlled access protocols for materials entering mission-critical spaces.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance logistics efficiency, material visibility, and space utilization.
  • Ensure adherence to site safety standards, material handling best practices, and EH&S compliance.
  • Support budget oversight for site logistics operations, including vendor contracts and supply services.
  • Serve as the escalation point for logistics-related issues impacting operational readiness.
  • Lead and develop Site Logistics Coordinators and material handling personnel to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient site logistics operations.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse operations, or material management in industrial or mission-critical environments.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience managing logistics or warehouse personnel.
  • Experience overseeing dock operations, receiving protocols, inventory management systems, and controlled material flow.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional teams in fast-paced operational environments.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, documentation controls, and vendor performance management.
  • Experience implementing inventory governance and accuracy controls.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and escalation judgment skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a high-accountability, mission-critical setting.
  • Forklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
  • Experience supporting data centers, construction, manufacturing, utilities, or similar high-reliability environments preferred.
